Bucks

Helms "Exciter"

A December born son of "Hard Core" out of a 445 daughter. Kenneth wrote "here is a young buck prospect that has me really excited. This is one big-assed, wide based, cool ribbed guy. This fellow travels uphill, is super clean fronted, long necked, and level made. He is shallow in his flank and just explodes to his hip." Look for his first kids in 2019.

North Star "Pioneer"

A keeper son by "Rip" out of a Harbour doe. This buck has already proved himself by siring the Reserve Champion Middle Weight 4-H wether at the Minnesota State Fair in 2017. In 2018; he sired the Minnesota State 4-H Reserve Champion  Market Doe, the Minnesota State Fair Reverse Champion Overall FFA Market Goat and also the Champion Market Doe, which was also Reserve Grand Champion Overall at the Iowa State Fair. All on different kids!

North Star "99"

Our best "Overdrive" son from 2017. He is out of a "Rip" daughter and shows us all the traits we want in a stud buck- good feet and legs, straight lines, big back, and muscle!

North Star "Buffalo"

A late born "Snoopy" son from a Bean daughter. He should give us a little "pop" from both sides of the pedigree.

"SNOOPY"

We did it again! Presenting "Snoopy", Gallagher"59", the full brother to the 2012 Fort Worth Reserve Grand Champion wether. This stud used by Gallagher is sired by "Snuffy" out of his top "Rolex" daughter. Thank you Garland and Joy Gallagher for allowing us to purchase this tremendous buck!

"OVERDRIVE"

Our new Helms buck is a son of "2009" out of a "191" daughter. He is a flushmate to "Top Drive" Schnebergers $22,000 Helms buck from 2014 and the full brother to "P050", Lot #4 in the Extreme Wether Sire Sale who topped the sale at $24,000. We own 1/2 interest in "Overdrive" with Kenneth Helms.  He is the buck Kenneth kept to use!!

 Gallagher's "RIP"

We are privileged to use Gallagher's great "Rip" buck for our 2015 winning kid crop. He is sired by "Snuffy" out of 8111's sister and comes right out of Garland's stud pen.

Bean's "1916"

This is a son of "612" out of Douglas's stud pen. "612" is a "900" son who sires kids with a tremendous rack. 1916's flush sister is the the mother of their 2012 top stud prospect. We weren't looking for a buck but this one was too good to pass up.

Reference Sires:

 "NEW FRONTIER"

We are very excited about this years kid crop from our new stud buck from Harbour Livestock of Texas!! He is the son of the great 181 buck. NEW FRONTIER was kept and used in the Harbour herd until we purchased him. He was our pick because of his very high tail set, wide hip and excellent rear end! He has the extreme muscle pattern not seen in the upper Midwest, so he is blazing a "NEW FRONTIER"! This current picture shows him as a 3 year old.

 "EDGE"

N & K Ranches Lead Sale Buck (T270). He is a very straight, long, big topped buck. He is the sire of the Grand Champion Market and Carcass Goat at Ak-Sar-Ben in 2008 and the 2009 Grand Champion Meat Goat at the MN State 4-H Meat Goat  Show. Producing runs in his family as his brother was Champion Market Goat at Houston in 2007.  He has truly given us the "EDGE" as he is sure to produce many more Champions in years to come.
